SIR, it was a GREAT SHOCK when I heard the NEWS of YOUR SUDDEN RETIREMENT from INTERNATIONAL CRICKET. SIR, I feel very BAD for YOU coz YOUR BOOT hadn't become too OLD to hang up. It could play few MORE YEARS but coz of there was something else in the mind of DESTINY or not getting SUPPORT from OTHER SENIOR CRICKETERS, YOU had to hang up YOUR BOOT here. Yes, the END is BAD but SIR, YOU lived YOUR CAREER like a WORRIER. YOU played YOUR ENTIRE CRICKET like a FIGHTER and for THIS YOUR FIGHTING SPIRIT, I want to salute YOU from bottom of MY HEART 🙏 🙏 🙏
SIR, I can understand YOUR FEELING at the MOMENT. But SIR, the TRUTH is EVERY CRICKETER has to go through it. The ONLY BAD THING is
There are SOME CRICKETERS who retire with FORCIBLY but not with PROUD
And SIR, YOU are ONE of THOSE HAPLESS CRICKETERS who had to announce RETIREMENT FORCIBLY but SIR, I don't care. What I care is YOUR FIGHTING SPIRIT and YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS. SIR, I am gonna give YOU a FAREWELL PARTY here in an honour of YOU by mentioning SOME of YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENTS. I am really feeling proud to share this. Let's go and see SOME of HIS ACHIEVEMENTS.
* The only CRICKETER to play under 15,
under 19, T-20 and 50 over WORLD CUP
and become MAN of the
TOURNAMENT
* HIS BLUSTERING 84 against
AUSTRAILIA in HIS DEBUT SERIES in
2000
* HIS 69 against ENGLAND in a very
famous NATWEST TROPHY in 2003
which helped INDIA to win THEIR first
ODI TOURNAMENT in ENGLAND
* HIS IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE
against PAKISTAN in 2004 in INDIA'S
very FIRST TOUR of PAKISTAN after
getting RELATION well between the
Two COUNTRIES which helped INDIA
to win the BOTH ODI and TEST SERIES
and make a MEMORABLE ONE
* And who can forget T-20 WORLD CUP
in 2007 and 50 OVER WORLD CUP in
2011. The MAN who won THESE TWO
BIG EVENTS alone. SIR, YOU are the
REAL HERO of THESE TWO BIG
EVENTS along with GAUTAM GAMBHIR
but YOU never get CREDIT for it. But
I give coz I watch PLAY not CAPTAINCY
SIR, PEOPLE will never forget YOUR CONTRIBUTION to the INDIAN CRICKET TEAM. YOU are retired from INTERNATIONAL CRICKET but not from OUR HEART. YOU will always be there in OUR HEART. Yes, WE will miss YOU and YOUR CRICKET but not YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS. Though the MAN who was suffering from CANCER, still played 50 - 50 WORLD CUP for the COUNTRY isn't just a CRICKETER but a WORRIER and for that FIGHTING SPIRIT, THIS MAN whom WE lovingly call YUVI PAJI deserves HONOUR and I want BCCI to give HIM THIS HONOUR and HE will get it. There is no doubt it.
At last, I would like to thank to YUVI PAJI for entertaining US over the YEARS. TY and ALL THE BEST for the REST of YOUR LIFE.
